The Hon. Horace Washington Dalley
Minister of Health


Minister Horace Washington Dalley is a teacher by profession and a practicing politician. He is a Clarendonian and presently represents the Northern Clarendon constituency in Parliament and has been its Member of Parliament since 1989.

Prior to entering representational politics he worked with the Ministry of Education in special projects. He served in the Diplomatic service and also worked as International Secretary for the People’s National Party.

He served as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Community Development, Ministry of Finance and Planning, Ministry of Production, Mining and Commerce and the Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. He was appointed Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Land and Environment in 2001, and reappointed Minister of Labour and Social Security in November 2002 and recently appointed Minister of Health in 2006.

Minister Daley has served in Parliament on several committees such as Economic and Production, Human Resource, Infrastructure and several others.

Minister Dalley is a committed and devoted community oriented person. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. He is the father of four children.
