  • Coalition For Jamaica is an organization that was started by fellow Jamaicans in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being sadden by the problems that plague their homeland, they united to help rid Jamaica of the continuous suffering that occurs through the avenues of poverty and violence.

    The group is an alliance of individuals who are skilled, proactive, and most importantly very dedicated, with a vision of prosperity and unity for their country, and to live up to their country's motto "Out Of Many One People"

  • Jamaica Organization For Youth - The goal of The Jamaica Organization for Youth (J.O.Y.) is to give opportunities to the needy children of Jamaica by providing them with technology and encouraging its use in schools and community centers.
  • The St. Elizabeth Homecoming Foundation (SEHF) Ltd - St. Elizabeth Homecoming Foundation Limited (SEHF) is a non-profit community organization established in 1993. The Objectives of the foundation are to develop and stage the "St. Elizabeth Homecoming Week" as a major educational, social and cultural event, to develop and implement strategic plans for the economic, social, environmental and cultural development of the parish.

  • JAMPACT (Jamaica Impact Inc.) - JAMPACT (Jamaica Impact Inc.) is a non-profit organization based in the United States. Our mission is to use our collective energies, intelligence and resources, to make positive contributions towards the improvement of social and economic conditions in Jamaica.
  • The Greater Portmore Joint Council - Welcome to the official web site of The Greater Portmore Joint Council, Jamaica (GPJC). We are a democratic, voluntary, community based, and non-partisan organisation. The GPJC is formed from representatives of Greater Portmore's Citizens Associations, Youth Clubs, and other non-governmental organisations. Its aim is to speak, with one strong voice, and to act in unity to improve the lot of all the people of Greater Portmore. We are overned by a constitution and an elected executive.

  • Uplifting Adolescents Project - The UAP is financed by a grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development, Mission to Jamaica (USAID/Jamaica). Since July 1996, the program has assisted 15 non-profit Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Jamaica to deliver services in four technical areas to the at-risk youth in the 10-18 age group. The UAP program is currently delivered at four Red Cross centers to 275 out-of-school adolescents, and another 1,038 in-school youth. Its goal is to empower youth through the provision of literacy, numeracy, and marketable skills.
  • Jamaicans for Justice - Jamaicans for Justice is a non-profit, non-partisan non-violent, volunteer citizens' rights action group, founded in 1999. It advocates for fundamental change in all spheres of Jamaican life -judicial, economic, social and political - in order to improve the lives of Jamaican citizens. JFJ believes that justice is the bedrock of any civilised and progressive society, and all Jamaicans must have equal access to fair, correct and impartial treatment.
  • BirdLife Jamaica - Dedicated to the conservation of Jamaica's Birds and their habitat.
  • Jamaica Conservation And Development Trust - The Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT) is a not-for-profit, non-government organization (NGO) and registered charity founded in 1987 by a group of professionals to promote the conservation of Jamaica's natural resources for sustainable development
  • National Environmental Societies Trust - The National Environmental Societies Trust (NEST) is a not-for-profit, non-government organization (NGO) which serves as an umbrella for environmental NGOs in Jamaica. NEST provides developmental assistance to these NGOs and is involved in training of the staff and board members of the organizations. The Regional Office is located in Montego Bay and assists NGOs in Western Jamaica.
  • Negril Area Environmental Protection Agency - NEPT is working to promote, coordinate, facilitate and implement ridge to reef conservation for sustainable development in the wider Negril area. We are a non-government, not-for-profit organization with local charitable status. (Preserve Negril). The Negril area is one of Jamaica’s treasures. Blessed by a beautiful natural environment and relaxed surroundings, it is appreciated by residents and visitors alike.

  • Northern Jamaica Conservation Association (NJCA) - is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. NJCA is dedicated to the protection and wise use of natural and cultural resources in Jamaica, through education, advocacy and environmental conservation activities.
  • CHILDREN FIRST

    One of the few organizations in Jamaica specializing in street/working children in Spanish Town, one of the oldest cities in the Western Hemisphere. They maintains close linkages with community organizations including the police, school principals, church and government leaders.

  • JAMAICA ASSOCIATION FOR THE DEAF

    Founded in 1938, it is one of the oldest non-profit organizations of its kind in the Caribbean. Under the UAP, the Association is teaching the performing arts to more than 200 deaf students as a means of expression and getting messages across to hearing-impaired youth.

  • MEL NATHAN INSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL RESEARCH

    The mission of this organization is to promote the advancement of extremely deprived communities in both urban and rural areas, to provide educational opportunities, including preparatory and vocational facilities, and to facilitate human development as an integral part of community development.

  • RURAL FAMILY SUPPORT ORGANIZATION

    This program caters to teen-age mothers by improving their self-esteem and making them capable of helping themselves and their babies to become a productive Jamaican family unit.

  • SAM SHARPE TEACHERS COLLEGE

    Although a Teachers College, this institution has reached out to four deprived communities with a comprehensive program in all four technical components of the UAP. They are reaching over 546 out-of-school adolescents.

  • ST. PATRICK'S FOUNDATION

    Located in the inner-city communities of Olympic Gardens, Tower Hill, Seaview Gardens, Riverton and Calaloo Mews, this organization helps youth to transcend the constraints of their socio-economic environment in order to become responsible citizens.

  • WESTERN SOCIETY FOR THE UPLIFTMENT OF CHILDREN

    A product of Save the Children/UK, this NGO has enjoyed great success in returning street and high-risk children to school and keeping them there. It is closely linked to other institutions traditionally involved in supporting children, including the Family Courts, the local police, and the formal schools.

  • YMCA, KINGSTON

    This organization has established and outstanding record of helping more than 300 street/working children and out-of-school youth with programs in literacy, numeracy, skills training and sports activities.

  • YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED

    A "one of a kind" organization in Jamaica specializing in a distinguished Mentor program for high school students using positive role models to provide emotional support in order to build self confidence and self esteem.

  • YWCA, NATIONAL COUNCIL

    This program assists more than 650 young females, helping to improve their academic skills. It operates Early School-Leavers Institutes, a Basic School, After-School Care and Literacy, and Continuing Education evening classes in addition to its Y-Teen clubs in over 24 schools.

  • Farquharson Institute of Public Affairs

    Founded 1917, the FIPA works on its own and in concert with other institutions in researching and dealing with all matters affecting the economic and social interests of Jamaica, as well as the improvement of conditions for Jamaicans at home and abroad.

  • Food For The Poor

    Food For The Poor supplies critically need support to poorest of the poor in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean and Central America. The organization has shipped more than a half billion in aid supplies since its founding in 1982 by Jamaica businessman, Ferdinand Mahfood.   • Woman Inc

    WOMAN INC is a private, charitable non-profit non-governmental organization [NGO] operating in Jamaica since 1984, dedicated to providing assistance to the victims of rape incest, sexual harassment at the workplace and domestic violence. The common objective of Woman Inc is to promote the welfare of women through the maintenance of Crisis Centres and Shelters.

  • The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston is a non-profit, all female service club, which was organized on September 6, 1989 and chartered on November 14 that year. The club has 242 members. The vision of the club is to build a better community through Kiwanis.

    The club has undertaken numerous projects to assist children, adolescents, the elderly and others in the community.
