Minister Wehby Resigns from Grace Kennedy Group

Minister Without Portfolio in the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Senator the Honourable Don Wehby

Minister Without Portfolio in the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Senator the Honourable Don Wehby has tendered his resignation from the Grace Kennedy Group. The resignation severing his employment with the private sector entity takes effect on 30th September 2007.

In a statement today, Prime Minister the Honourable Bruce Golding said Minister Wehby, who had previously resigned his directorships with the company, had taken this latest decision to remove any appearance of conflict of interest which his continued relationship with Grace Kennedy might cause.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Mr. Wehby for his willingness to serve as a Cabinet Minister.
