Their Royal Highnesses, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Their Royal Highnesses, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, will arrive in the island on March 12, for a three-day official visit, as part of their Caribbean tour.

On the Jamaican visit, the Royal couple will meet with the Governor- General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Professor Sir Kenneth Hall; Prime Minister, the Hon. Bruce Golding and Leader of Opposition, the Most Hon. Portia Simpson Miller.

The Royal couple will disembark the vessel, MY The Leander, at Victoria Pier at 10:10 a.m. They will be met by Their Excellencies, the Governor-General and Lady Hall; the Mayor of Kingston, His Worship Senator Desmond McKenzie; and the British High Commissioner, His Excellency Jeremy Cresswell.

His Royal Highness will inspect the Guard of Honour mounted by the First Battalion of the Jamaica Regiment and receive the Royal salute.

Their Royal Highnesses will then visit the Bob Marley Museum, where they will be met by Mrs. Rita Marley. The couple will then make their way to Rose Town to visit a library, which formerly housed a church and which has been restored by the Kingston Restoration Company. The Prince's Foundation has provided financial assistance to the Rose Town community development efforts and the Prince himself has taken a personal interest in the Rose Town project.

The Prince and the Duchess will meet community leaders and students and will plant a tree in front of the community centre.

Later that day, after meeting with the Governor-General and Lady Hall as well as with the Leader of the Opposition and the Most Hon. Errald Miller, the couple will take part in the launch of the Prince of Wales Community Peace Cup at King's House. His Royal Highness will participate in the football skills demonstration and the competition draw for the Prince of Wales Community Peace Cup.

In the evening, the Prime Minister will host a dinner for the Royal couple and this will be preceded by a concert featuring the I-Threes, Taurus Riley, Etana, the Immaculate Conception High School Symphony, the Tivoli Dancers and some young instrumentalists, including Jessica Yap and Nadje Leslie.

On Thursday (March 13), the Royal couple will travel to Falmouth, Trelawny, where they will tour the historic district and the Falmouth Heritage Renewal Building. In Falmouth, the Prince will unveil a commemorative plaque to mark his visit to the town and will also tour Water Square.

The couple will attend a private reception at the Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay, after which they will be hosted by the Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Edmund Bartlett to a reception at the Half Moon Hotel.

On Friday (March 14), His Royal Highness will meet with the Prince's Youth Trust on the MY The Leander. After this, he will leave for Up Park Camp where he will be greeted by Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) officials, led by Major General Stewart Saunders. The Prince will then proceed to Hollywell National Park, where he will tour selected buildings. At Hollywell the Prince will join a seminar on climate change.

Afterwards the Governor-General will host the Royal couple to a reception at Strawberry Hill Hotel. After the reception, the couple will tour Devon House. Their Royal Highnesses will receive the Prime Minister and Mrs. Golding on board the MY The Leander and they will sail to Port Royal where they will observe the Beat of the Retreat by the Combined Bands of the Jamaica Military Band and the Jamaica Regiment Band. The Royal couple will then depart the Norman Manley International Airport.
