RBTT Staff to Labour at Schools

MANDEVILLE (JIS): Friday, May 23, 2008

Staff of the Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (RBTT) will be conducting Labour Day activities at several schools across the island on May 23.
Among the institutions to benefit are Half-Way-Tree Primary, and Four Square, St. Mary's and Allman Town Basic Schools in the corporate area.
Head of Corporate Communications at RBTT, Gail Abrahams, told JIS News that some of the schools involved are not just Labour Day beneficiaries, but institutions that RBTT has been working closely with over the years, and will continue to support even after Labour Day.
She said that RBTT staff will spearhead the planting of fruit trees and flowers at some schools, while installation of computers, repair work and painting will be done at other places.
A total of 75 flower plants and 25 fruit trees will be planted in acknowledgment of the Labour Day theme: 'Grow what you eat, eat what you grow.' Corporate area staff, along with staff drawn from other branches across the island, will participate in the projects.
Currently, the RBTT has two flagship initiatives, Young Leaders Programme and RBTT Education Foundation, which is in keeping with its commitment to foster the total development of the youth.
