The Jamaican flag is 3 feet x 6 feet. It has a diagonal cross across the centre with four triangles in juxtaposition. The diagonal cross is gold, the top and bottom triangles are green, while the hoist and fly triangles are black.
Each colour carries special significance: black represents the creativity of the people; gold represents the natural beauty of the sunlight, and the wealth of the country; and green symbolises Jamaica’s agricultural resources as well as hope for the future.
